Program overview
Applicants must be undergraduate majors in Emory College or Oxford College and will be admitted to the program on the basis of academic performance interest area and experience Accepted students participate in research-oriented training in both the natural and social sciences to address the complex scientific and societal issues of environmental science Students engage in rigorous research in their area of specialty and will produce an original thesis based on their research By the completion of the MS program students will be prepared for continuing their research in a PhD program or using their degree as a terminal degree having received preparation for employment across the spectrum of professional opportunities - governmental non-governmental non-profit etc
