The mathematics curriculum is both focused and flexible with options that will prepare you for careers in government business industry and education or further study in graduate or professional school Students may choose to major in mathematics without choosing a concentration This allows students to take courses from the full range of courses offered by the department while still developing areas of expertise in three course groups chosen by the student from Algebra Analysis Applications Discrete Math Math Education Finance Geometry Topology Numerics and Statistics
