As a student in the Nursing program you can get active in the community through School Initiatives In your third-year coursework you can practise alongside community health nurses working with community groups and in fourth year you can extend your education further afield with practicum placements You can conduct research throughout your degree as you engage in service learning projects and or change projects and in your fourth year you will also have the opportunity to do a Research Preceptorship where you will work directly with a researcher Join the Nursing Course Union on UBC s Okanagan campus to connect with your peers get involved with student life and explore career options School Initiatives Nursing Course Union
