At Webster University chemistry majors engage in coursework in chemistry physics and mathematics with many also taking courses in biology The science courses include both lecture and laboratory components preparing students to assume positions in academic industrial and government laboratories The BS in Chemistry is also an excellent starting point for a professional career in medicine dentistry or one of the other health sciences Other chemistry majors may choose to pursue a graduate degree in chemistry or enter a profession that utilizes a chemistry background
